10. Don't compare yourself to others. Everyone is different, but we are all beautiful. People have different features, and different shapes, and that is perfectly okay. You need to embrace who you are, and love it.
9. Think positive. Everyone has something they don't like about themselves. Instead of thinking about what you don't like about yourself, think about what you do like. Never put yourself down or call yourself negative names. If you don't respect yourself, then how can others respect you?

Published by American Girl, this book has a great deal of useful advice in an easy to read format.
2. Hang Out With People Who Build You Up and Not Bring You Down. It's important to choose your friends (and even acquaintances) wisely. Make sure that you surround yourself with other people who are positive, upbeat, and like people. They will inspire you and appreciate you for the person that you are. Don't stay with people who are cynical, angry, or put you down. Who needs that? Not you!
